6 Week Weight Loss Challenge: Week 4 Weigh In

Well despite not working out as much this week as I should have I am still seeing progress in my weight loss. I realized this week that this is the first time I have set out to loose weight post babies and/or breastfeeding. In the past years when I lost weight I was breastfeeding which helped me burn more calories each day. I also normally had the goal to get to my pre-baby weight (so that I could become pregnant again). This time I am loosing weight and getting fit FOR MYSELF! It feels great to know that I took on this challenge for me, not anyone else, and when all is said and done I want to be happy with ME!

Now for my weigh in this week…

My starting weight: 128.4

Today’s weigh in: 122.4

My goal weight: 118

I am down 6 pounds and have 4 more to loose to my goal.

We are nearing the end of the 30 Days Of Healthy Ways Challenge.…this I have really slacked off on this week. I have now completed 23 of 28 days. Not bad but not great either! I had forgotten to pick up a new veggie and new fruit to try when grocery shopping earlier this week PLUS I totally spaced off doing my 100 push ups. As for yesterday, “Reassess and renew your New Year’s resolution and/or fitness goals.”, well I had told myself I would get healthier after the New Year which this challenge has helped me with. My weakness is sweets and carbs so I decided yesterday that I would give myself a goal to cut the amount of carbs and sweets consumed each week over the next 6 weeks. I am hoping that by eating more protein I won’t crave carbs as much as I do so my goal is also to eat more carbs. I plan to replace fruits and nuts with my bad habit sweet cravings.

ALSO my husband and I set a goal to run the San Antonio Rock n’ Roll 1/2 TEAM RELAY Race together in November. I will likely have to do the 8 mile part of the relay so we are going to start training for that. It looks like my oldest son is going to compete in the kid Ing 1 mile race that weekend as well. We are very excited for him and he is going to train with us (on a smaller scale) over the next several months!! So lots of new goals set which I am totally excited about!!

  1. Great job. My goal is a 5K which seems like a lot too me. I can’t imagine 8 miles! Good for you.

    • My goal last year was a 5k and I ended up doing a 1/2 marathon. I bet you’ll meet your goal and may end up doing more like I did! 😉
